WebKinz Whimsy Dragon Retailer Review

This is a cute WebKinz, however, the supplier for this toy sold it for over $30. This taught me a valuable lesson, there are still price gougers out there and all over a toy. I would not have purchased if my granddaughter had not been right beside me while at the computer.

It's a shame that this Webby is being sold for nearly 3 times it's original price, and on Amazon, of all places. This I'd expect on eBay, but not here. Shame on you!

Whimsy Dragon!!!

I have been waiting for the Whimsy Dragon to come out since I first heard about it. Now I have it and it is one of my favorite Webkinz that I own.

However, there were 3 things about the Whimsy Dragon that made me disappointed:

1: It's smaller than it looks.

2: When you register it on to your account and you go to your room, when it walks around, you will notice it doesn't fly! It just walks. I kept thinking that it would fly around your room, but it doesn't.

3: The price. It is NOT worth $30. I bought mine for $15. Save your money, and buy it somewhere else.

I still think the Whimsy Dragon is a cool Webkinz!

My daughter loves this mouse!

My 7-year-old daughter has many Webkinz stuffed animals, but this may be her favorite. She is very active in her online Webkinz account, and she is very happy to have this addition to her collection. I can't say it's extremely educational, but it makes her happy.

Loved, loved, loved this little cute monkey. This webkinz is a favorite of my 10 yr old daughter. The title of the webkinz really fits the product, it definitly is cheeky and has a very cute face also very soft. This webkinz can be a great gift for a boy or girl.

I recently purchased the cheeky Monkey for my grandson. I have to admit we have all become as interested through the website,in the care & feeding of his webkinz, pets. It really is a neat site, & educational for the kids, in earning tokens to take care of their pets, and then in taking care of them. Planning on ordering another one for Christmas.

If someone in your circle of family or friends is hooked by the Webkinz craze, then add another nice creature to your list of internet-linked plush toys. I think the overall quality and price structure of the Webkinz creatures is a good deal ... better than I remember for the Beanie Baby rush, plus you get some internet-associated interactions.

Very cute item! My daughter loves monkeys, it is her new favorite thing. This little guy makes a nice addition to her already growing collection of Monkeys. I got this Webkinz for my daughter for Christmas and she loves it. Everyday she is on the Webkinz site making sure her monkey is happy and fed and taken care of. I think Im going to get one myself. We all love monkeys

webkins rule!

webkinz is awesome and i like it better than club penguin and i played that all the time for months. i like webkinz better because it has alot more stuff to do, plus you get to see many kinds of animals. you get to name your pet and my husky is named spike. i also got a black lab and named him mike. many of my friends are playing webkinz now and we interact online by giving each other presents and sending letters. i have never had a bad experience on webkinz and i have just turned 7. i like playing polar plunge the best. my parents kinda like it too--it sure keeps me busy and happy. i sleep with my webkinz and want a real husky when i grow up.

Fun, but know what you are getting into when you buy one of these!

First of all, the husky is very cute, and my five year old boy is in love with it, and the idea of selling cute stuffed animals that have a second life in a web world for kids is brilliant. But, know what you are getting into when you by one of these.

First, you'll of course have to get the pet "adopted" on the Webkinz web site. Then, you'll have to study the online user manual for the Webkinz web site because unless your child has a certain reading ability, maybe fourth grade, they won't be able to read it all by themselves.

Then of course, you'll have to teach your child what you learned. You might be with your child for a few hours at this site while you both learn your way around. With a five year old it is going to take a while. Of course, you may view it as a bonding experience, so it's not all bad, but there is a time commitment you make when you get one of these.

Then, you'll have to cope with the technical glitches at the Webkinz web site. My ordeal was in getting my son's Webkinz husky to send messages and gifts to another Webkinz husky owned by my son's best friend of the same age. The site has a "post office" where you can send letters and "gifts" to a friend on your "friend list", but they don't tell you on the site how to get a friend on the friend list, so I had to do research out on the Internet to see how this is done.

Once we had mastered that, we found that the mailbox doesn't update with new messages unless you log out of the Webkinz site and log back in again.

Some of the navigation controls on the Webkinz site are very narrow and hard for very young children to master because they require a lot of mouse precision. You may end up sitting with your child at the computer getting them through some of the things they want to do.

Finally, your pet's life is one year on the site unless you buy more Webkinz toys or buy a renewal of your pet at the end of one year. They want to hook you into spending more money. I'm glad these cute little things don't cost too much.

So, now you have an idea of what you are committing to when you buy one of these toys. Good luck!

KIDS LOVE IT!

I really can't say enough about the Webkinz. Both of kids (boy 5 & girl 10) really enjoy playing with their animals. They really are a great gift and I've seen in both kids more repsonsibility with taking care of the stuffed animals and keeping up with everything that goes with them. They really are happy with the Webkins line and so am I.

Cute toy!

I bought this for my grand-daughter's 8th birthday last month...she absolutely loves it! It has unusual "fur", which is part of it's charm. And of course, as with all Webkinz, it teaches her responsibility for her "pet", plus she gets to practice all of her school subjects while earning "money" for upgrading her pet's home. Great toy, wonderful idea!

Unique, fun, and cute

My son likes snakes and loves Webkinz. Therefore I know he'll love receiving this snake for his birthday. It was delivered soon after I ordered it. It is very soft, colorful, cute and fun. I love how one can coil him up, hold it by the head, and watch it uncoil.

This is by far the best plush snake i have ever layed eyes on. It looks so much better then the strait snakes that are like colored ropes. the way it coils is very realistic. The webkinz online feature is great for educating about the snake and teaching proper responsibilities. and i thought beanie babies were good.
