Great for a Toddler
I bought this as a gift for my 3-yr-old granddaughter because the description said it was appropriate for the 24 months to 5 years age group. I don't know who decided that, but as soon as I saw it, I knew my granddaughter was too old for this toy. From all appearances, it is a toddler toy. I gave it to a little girl turning two because I knew she loves music, and it was ideal for her. She had a lot of fun playing with it.

Hard to use!
I don't know if I have a dud but it's impossible for me to keep this tambourine playing for more than a couple of bars... I doubt that my daughters will have more luck!

Here are the keys to playing a colorful tune! This brightly painted upright piano features 25 keys and two full octaves to give kids a wide range of notes to play, as well as a helpful color-coded key chart to help them quickly learn the musical scale. Measures 16" x 9.75" x 11.5".

Great for younger kids too
My Mom insisted on buying this for my 1 year old twins even though it suggests that it is suitable for 3 years and up. Well, they love it. They hammer on it, stand on it and pull it over. It is very robust. It is sufficiently in tune to play your favorite songs and comes with a handy little song book (probably more use to a 3 year old than my 1 year olds).

Kid tastic
Ok so it doesn't stay in tune that well, but really its for kids. Now I got it for our daughter when she was only 10 months old, and she loves it! Pounds away and is having fun. Isn't that what a toy is supposed to do? Its built out of sturdy wood, this will last.

I dont recommend this piano
My 3 year old daughter received this for her birthday a few weeks ago and hasn't played with it since her party. She loves playing her Grandmothers real piano when we go to visit so I thought she would enjoy having this Learn-to-Play piano at home. It stays in the floor of her bedroom and collects dust. The piano is also very loud and annoying for the adults. On the other hand, it seems to be made very well. She sometimes like to sit on top of it and it hasn't tipped over.

Great First Piano!!!
We got this piano for our two boys (4 & 2-1/2) to help them begin to learn how to play music. This piano makes it so easy for them with the colored key code that fits above the keys so that they can follow along with the music book. The look on their faces as they play (and sing along) with the songs is absolutely adorable!
For us, we found the sound of the piano to be fine - no issues. One nice thing is that it's just loud enough...if you know what I mean. This keeps them occupied for hours on end.
Five stars for this purchase - you won't be disappointed with this piano...and your kids will love it!!!
Rating :
Great find and value!
This little piano is turining out to be both fun and educational. The adults are enjoying as much as the 2 1/2 year old owner. Pretty good sound for a toy and durable as far as taking the use from a toddler.

Fixing problem with not writing to device
This is a solution to all the others that cannot write new songs to the device. it looks like when some of these devices were manufactured, all of the files were set with the Read only bit set on all of the files.
When a song is written to the device, it adds the track, then it will update either the playlist.sng (songs) or playlist.sty (story). If these files are set to read only, then they can not update the internal playlist and the player will not know about any new tracks, and you will get the write access error.
Short story to get it working with XP, Vista or whatever - When you connect it to you machine and the drive pops up; right click playlist.sng and then choose properties. Uncheck the attribute for Read only. Then do the same for playlist.sty. It should work fine for everything, and the access errors will disappear.
I hope this helps some people out.
PS. I was called in to resolve this problem because parents of the device could not get it working

Not so kid tough
We bought this for our 5 year old 2 months ago for her birthday. We bought a 1 GB SD card for it so that she could put tons of music on it. As far as the software goes, we didn't find it to be that painful since we had read the reviews knew what to expect. She loved the player and especially the speakers that we bought separately. She played it every night to fall asleep and carried the player in the speakers everywhere with her. Now it's been only two months and the player hardly works. We have replaced the batteries twice to thinking that would solve the problems but it didn't. A few days ago it froze and I had to unscrew the battery compartment to get it to turn off. Only the forward button works, so if she wants to change songs, she can only go forwards through all the songs. Also, the play button seems to be very fragile. It seems to play the preloaded songs (all 6 of them!) and she really likes the stories, but the ones that we loaded ourselves either don't play at all or they stop playing in the middle with a loud popping noise. I know she is disappointed, and so am I. She has stopped listening to it altogether. I bought this player brand new from a seller on Ebay (lesson learned) so now I am out of luck. I was hoping that Fisher Price would have some techincal support on their website with some updated drivers or something, but no. I am disappointed in this product. It's a great concept, but needs some improvements. With all the technology available today and the price, it seems like it could be so much better. On their website it says that this product has been discontinued in 2007. How come my 2GB Ipod shuffle works without a glitch and I paid close to the same price? Maybe Fisher Price just needs to stick to what they know.

good idea but very complicated
A very good idea, but a complete pain to load songs on to. I bought two and the first took so long to do that a year later I still have not attempted the other one.

What a wonderful toy!
My daughter just received this for her 5th birthday. She's a huge music lover, and this was just up her alley. Let's just say she's been attached to it every since she received it. The software was easy and quick to install. Loading music from a cd (can't load from a computer to the music library, it has to come from a cd) is a simple process. We also took advantage of purchasing a few stories from the website so she's got some of her favorites for bed time. We have a dial up connection and still were able to download stories which was nice. :) The FP3 is so simple for kids to figure out how to operate without a lot of help needed from mom,dad or whomever. One option I loved was that I was able to assign an icon for each song I loaded on to her player. This was a great feature considering she's not reading quite yet and this helps her id the song before she has to hear it play. I also love that the volume can't go too high either, so I don't have to worry about her hurting her ears. She's enjoyed going to bed with her FP3 player on and listening to bed time stories. It also has an auto-shutoff so the batteries won't continue to drain while she sleeps. Either way - it's got simple features, yet is built to last, and is just such a fun and fantastic gift for the music and/or story lover in your child. It looks like her two year old sister just might be getting one for her birthday in the near future as well! (It really is a great gift for any kid!) I just can't say enough wonderful things about the simplicity of it and the sturdy design. Fisher Price got it so right this time!!!

Excellant FUN !!
Bought for my 3 yr old grand-daughters BD. Easy to download songs from a CD through the computer. Also easy to download from the website at extra cost, and they have a pretty good selection to chose from. They also have pictures that you can attach to the songs for those that can't read yet, which is very helpful although I wish there were a bigger selection of pictures, not quite enough. Another problem is that you have to buy the speakers separately (also the protective case) and you really need them to enjoy all the fun with them. Very worth buying, just precious watching them sing and dance and learning all the words to songs. Her 1 1/2 yr old sister sings and dances with her when speakers are attached.

Play Acting
My oldest son actually plays guitar...this was bought for my 8 year old because he looks up to his older brother. If it peaks his interest to actually learn, it has been well worth it. For the time being he enjoys it.....

My Nephew loves it
Easy to use, and fun. My nephew is three and he loves this. He jams out and really enjoys it. Now he can't use the learning features because he is too young but his father enjoys playing with it to. Great gift.

Fun
My son got this for Christmas, he is only five, but he likes to "play" this. It is a great buy, has worked great so far, can't really tell how well it teaches you to play because he is more interested in jammin : ) Great sounds and great that it has a volume control.
Rating :
I've played this before.
It was called "Guitar Hero". It had basically the same concept and this time it was a video game, just this time it was much easier to use, it had more kickass songs. I dunno about you, but that's OK. I got Guitar Hero III for my XBOX360. I think I'll pass on this Hasbro junk.

25-note [G-G] range. Includes durable molded case, mallets, and note chart.
Customer Review :
Best Value!
Compared to anything else I've seen out there (And I've looked at a lot!) this is the best value for the money. I love it's portability. It is well made. My now 20 month old daughter has "beat" on this for almost 4 months and it shows no signs of the abuse. The notes are loud and clear. It's brought a great deal of musical fun and joy to our family.
Rating :
Great deal!
This is a great value. It's incredibly difficult to find a glockenspiel with the sharps and flats that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Unlike a previous reviewer claims, the notes were not off key. Nor did I have to bend the mallets to remove them from the case. The sound quality is good. For those who are picky about the tones, they can spend more than a mere $15 on a higher quality instrument. This is for my children, ages 2 and 4, the older of whom is on the autism spectrum. Affordable and good quality and unique instruments are a great find for use as music therapy. Since this has all of the notes, we can accompany them using the piano. The vendor shipped immediately and I am completely satisfied.

Great prop for my nearly normal puppets
I am using it with my glove puppets...Fun sound in a portable case...Would have prefered brass tip mallets..but that would have caused the cost to go up.

Don't pass this one up
With the price of tone bells, orff instruments and the like making multiple purchases impractical on most school budgets, this is a godsend. Lovely tone quality, good construction. I bought 5 and will buy 20 more if we can sell enough cookies to raise the funds.

Real nice
I bought this for my one year old instead of a cheapy xylophone that can't be used once she gets older and I love it. The sticks are one piece so no threat of the ball falling off and her choking on it. She bangs the heck out of this thing and it stands up fairly well (She did smash a little bit of its foam deadener, but it still works, hope it won't affect it later). Nice sound and Mom has more fun playing it then the baby I think. Love the fact that it is a "toy" now and will be able to be used for real music when she gets old enough to read music. I do dislike that the cover won't lay down flat, so it looks just like the picture when opened, I do set my music there, but wish I had the option to lay it down flat or take it off.

Question : SEX MUSIC! I need ideas. What do you like to listen to?
I'm looking for some good sex music, alot of my music is far too complicated/wierd and not right for that at all. I'm looking for something ambient post-rock type stuff maybe? I'm into artsy girls, if that helps. Something simple and enjoyable, but still musical. No techno or R&B i'm not into those AT ALL(and neither are the type of girls i'm into)

Question : What kind of job scam is this? Must love loud music, art, working with opposite sex.?
I have seen this ad in newspapers & on Craigs list.
Need 10 people for sales, management, etc. for fun work. Must love loud music, art, working with opposite sex. Earn while you learn. Paid training. They do not give you any details at the first interview. They tell you that you will receive details at second interview. No experience. Potential earnings of $800.00 weekly. I know this is some kind of scam but I don't know what it is.
Answer:
A friend of mine answered one of those ads a few years ago and it is indeed a scam!!! you get paid on commission, you don't actually get paid $800 dollars unless you sell at least ten of their products weekly, you are basically a door to door sales person selling over priced merchandise. The ad my friend answered turned out to be from a certain vacuum company that you've probably heard of, they've knocked on just about everyone's door. My friend was so upset and disappointed, she actually wanted to report them to the better business bureau for posting misleading ads.

Question : What type of music do you like during sex?
I never thought i was a music sex person but i heard a song that the neighbors where playing and it was nice.
i think it was some old 60s or 70s song and i don't listen to that stuff usually
so now I'm trying to find stuff like that to play during sex
do you like music during, or is it just me
Answer:
It all depends on what kind of sex I'm having also...if my fiance and I are making love...we listen to mostly 80's R&B...Like Babyface, After 7, Guy, Barry White....etc.
70's ....Marvin Gaye is fabulous.
If we're just getting freak nasty.....we listen to Rap!

Question : How is it that movie and music stars have indiscriminate sex with fans etc etc... and they dont get STD's?
How is it that movie and music stars have indiscriminate sex with fans etc etc... and they dont get STD's?
or at least u dont hear about them sickly..... like if an average person were to do that even with protection
Answer:
Well first, it's unlikely they have as much sex as you're thinking. Second hopefully they've learned to use protection which will protect them a little from their supposed way of life.
Third several celebrities have STDs, I'll point to Magic Johnson who has HIV/AIDS as a start. There are others.
Also think about it this way, celebrities have the money to make sure they are medically taken care of. Magic Johnson would have never lived this long if he were a poor black man living on the streets.
All of these things factor into your perception of how celebrities do these things and get away with it. Don't let the hype get to you.
Play it safe and use protection anytime you are thinking about having sex. Be selective about your partners and get to know them and their history. Also, if you even think you have an STD, head over to the health department and report it. They'll help you out and that will help keep the spread of the STD under control as well. It's all about being responsible.

Question : What is with all this music about sex and crap?
I never understood why all these people enjoy singing about sex. Us kids don't need to be hearing about that. We're kids. We shouldn't be doing it until we're married or at least [for the girls] until we are old enough to get pregnant and not have a bigger chance of dying in childbirth. Songs are the basis of many lives. We don't need these kind of messages to be foundations... (I just confused y'all didn't I?)
Answer:
Old English:"Western wind, when will thou blow,
The small rain down can rain;
Oh, that my love were in my arms
And I in my bed again!"
Early 20th-century English:
"Birds do it, bees do it,
Even educated fleas do it,
Let's do it -- let's fall in love!"
21st-century English:
"You and me, baby, ain't nuthin' but mammals,
So let's do it like they do on the Discovery Channel....."
It all sounds pretty much alike to me, dear. Why wouldn't people sing about something they understand?

Question : What is the "French" music from sex and the city season 1, episode 5....?
"I want to locate the "French" music from the first season of Sex in the City, episode 5, where Carrie is whirling around with some French architect. It's a CLASSIC French song. It is NOT listed on my DVD for the credits for that show. I'm looking for title and orchestra-preferrable the same performance on that program."

Question : What music is playing in the background during Edge and Lita's live sex celebration?

Question : What do you think about an 8 year old child singing reggaeton music about having sex?
I just saw this little kid singing reggaeton music about having sex just because he is a "star" and spanking girls on the tv video.
I just think is too much because is being used to get money out from him.
Answer:
He is Daddy Yankee's son, OMG, I think its cute that he is singing reggeaton but I think he should be singing reggeaton kids songs not grown-ups. Especially with those dancers that are freak dancing with him, its too much!

Question : Do the messages in rap music encourage sex with multiple people?
Anything that you hear repeated becomes a part of your thinking. Sometimes it is subliminal, like hearing something while your sleeping and remembering it when your awake. Does rap music have this affect on listeners? If you hear a song about having sex with many different people, does it make you want to have sex with many people?
Answer:
Well, speaking as someone who loves that type of music, it does not have that affect on me. I am quite monogamous and that will not change just because of something that I listen to. But, if someone has a weak mind, then I suppose that could happen.
|
Question : Is there any other definitive "sex music" besides Enigma? That music is pretty much known to be 'sex music'.
Are there any other albums or artists that is exclusively 'sex music'?
Answer:
Sure! Let's Get it On by Marvin Gaye is a classic "sex" song, as well as anything by Sade.
Teddy Pendergrass, "Turn off the Lights".
