fun and entertaining

This toy sings cute little songs when your child matches the animals, my favorite thing is when you mis-match an animal, the toy will name the animal your child has created (a "duck-dog" or "sheep-horse") and play a funny noise. This is a great refrigerator toy but it is not too heavy to carry around as well. It also gives a few little facts about each animal... good teaching tool, fun toy!

Just ok, though a good concept

I was really excited by this toy b/c my 15 month old loves to play with magnets on the fridge. I thought it would be great to get this toy that could combine learning and playing since she's doing it already on the fridge. However, there is a song that comes on when you make a correct match that really scares my daughter for some reason. She is perfectly happy playing with the toy up until she makes a match and that song comes on. It makes her cry all of a sudden (and not just a little cry)!

So as a result, we've had to keep the animal magnets separate from the barn base so that the song won't come on. But that pretty much defeats the purpose. The animals are on the fridge now but she doesn't really seem to like them that much. She will just take them off and throw them on the ground. It's a pain to clean up. But she likes the base b/c she likes the music. Hopefully she will play with it eventually. I'm sure every baby will be different and might not be scared like my daughter.

I give this toy 4 stars for durability b/c of the little parts that have potential of getting lost. I can see the education value being high if it was actually being played with the correct way.

LeapFrog Fridge Farm set

My 13 month old loves this toy! The music is his favorite part at the moment. He'll keep pushing the button to keep the music going and will walk around with it like a radio. He just doesn't have the motor skills to get the animals in the barn slots now, but this toy will grow with him. This will be a toy that is in the kitchen for quite awhile!

I bought this magnetic LeapFrog set for my goddaughter who just turned one. They live in an apartment and don't have much floor space so she sits by the refrigerator and plays with it while her mom cooks dinner. It's perfiect!

Put Away Those Pets!

This is a pretty nice tackle box-style carrying case for your Littlest Pet Shop collection.

The case is a blue and green plastic hinged-lid box with a handle and Pink clasp, and is decorated on the sides with Littlest Pet Shop stickers featuring the brand name and pets.

The top (the lid) of the box has 3 separate lidded compartments (2 green, 1 pink) and a recessed handle. The tops of these are decorated with molded flowers and swirls, and a couple of the flowers and swirls are painted pink and yellow. The green compartments have a heavy cardboard divider, and are each divided into 4 spaces. The pink compartment also has a heavy cardboard divider, and is divided into 3 spaces. Each space will hold 1 large pet or 2 small ones. Inside the box itself is just a large storage space. The case also comes with one pet, a gray chinchilla.

The case is very cute and sturdy.

Pros - plenty of storage space for pets and accessories, even some of the larger awkward sized items. The clasp took a few tries for my 5 year old to figure out, but now she has no problem. We had one of the vinyl zipped cases, and she never fully zipped it because it was too difficult around the curve. I have tried a variety of storage options for Littlest Pets, and this works well - easy to open and close, and easy to carry around with the handle.

Cons - I would have preferred a bunch of divided trays in the box, so you could separate the pets. We were keeping our pets in a small plastic bin, and they do show wear and tear from all the rubbing and tumbling they do in the box - except for the 11 spaces on the top of the box, the rest of your pets will be jumbled in the bottom of the box. I also wonder about the heavy cardboard dividers. They come right out, so I wonder how long they will actually be in the box. Guess I'll have to wait and see!

Bottom Line - It's a good storage solution, and the attached lid and handle (not to mention the cuteness!) are better than what I could find in the big box storage departments.

My daughter loves this carrying case.

I read the reviews before purchasing this product and admit I was a little bit wary. However, for twelve dollars, I figured it was worth not having to buy a tackle case and paint it myself. And I was right. Although the inside of the box is empty space (no sections or shelves) it's perfect for carrying around the little pets. This box is not, in any way, a display case. It's a storage case. Keeping that in mind, it works perfectly to keep all these little creatures together in one place and transport them from home to a friend's or grandma's house. The top of the case has three little plastic sections where you can put your most prized pets and even though one other reviewer said she had problems keeping those compartments closed, we haven't had any problems at all. They close tightly and work just fine. The colors are bright and fun and my daughter loved this gift. I would recommend it without a second thought.

A perfect choice for the LPS Fan

I bought this for my 5yo and she really loves it. She can open it easily and everything stores inside. It is just one large compartment--I might like it better if it had trays but she seems to like it this way. You can store about 14 pets in the top--the dividers there are cardboard--i think plastic would have been sturdier. It came with a very cute little Chinchilla. It's all decorated with the Pet shop logos and animals and it's got a nice carry handle and is made of sturdy plastic. All in all it was worth the money.

cute on outside, but inside is a let down

Just got this for DD large collection. Because of the way it's packaged in the store there was no way of knowing what the inside would be like. I had hoped that it would be divided inside since it claims to store like over 150 pets. This was not the case. It is just a big box. I could have bought a tackle box in the sporting goods dept. for much less money and decorated it myself. I was really looking forward to a nice way to organize pets and accessories they come with, since right now they are just jumbled together. Well, they still are. The top compartments in the lid are not made as sturdy as a they be, why didn't they just make them with real plastic dividers??? One side keeps popping open and dumping out the pets when the lid to the case is opened. This is frustrating to my daughter. I may still take is back. Don't like feeling like Hasbro is taking advantage of parents with kids who like their product.

OK, people, am I seriously reading that people gave this product a good review??? Here's my review, which is the only review that should count: TWENTY DOLLARS for a CHEAP PLASTIC CASE. Oh, sure, the company has thrown in ONE littlest pet (a chinchilla), and slapped a few LPS stickers on the side, but this "flair" certainly does not justify the price. My suggestion is to buy a tackle box (if you want dividers) or a rubbermaid container (if you just want to throw them in one container) and save yourself LOTS of money.

Mr. Potato Head just potty trained my 3 year old! After much discussion with her about using the potty, we finally found the trick for her! Each time she went she got to put a piece on her new Mr. Potato head and by the time she was half done with the pieces she was potty trained. I doubt Mr. Potato Head has had such a heroic review.

It's not terrible, but it's not spectacular either.

Overall, the Tumbler looks pretty good. The scale is decent, though the front wheels are a little on the large side for the scale. One of them also rubs to the point of barely spinning. Granted, this isn't a toy vehicle, but it's definitely still a defect. The display box is very nice, but like other vehicles, the plastic that "keeps" it in place takes away a bit of the display quality. The body is a lot more plastic than I expected (pretty much the entire outer shell), but the build quality feels pretty solid. The opposite of this is the 1989 1/18 Scale Batmobile. That car is almost entirely metal, except a few small sections. I do love the Tumbler itself, and it displays well with the other cars in my die-cast collection.

Very detailed model. I think there is more plastic on this thing than most diecast cars, but it is pretty good. The cockpit opens which was an added bonus... I was completely surprised since it didnt say anything about in the description. I'm curious as to what the difference is between this and the Batman Begins dicast cars. Worth the buy. Better get before the price goes up. I notice all other versions of the batmobile skyrocketted after The Dark Knight dropped. And as always, Amazon was on point with the handling and delivery of the product.

This is a very cool model. It's a re-release of the Batman Begins Batmobile, but there's nothing wrong with that. After all, it's the same car as in BB. The canopy is a little hard to get open on mine. But overall, it's a great little model. There is a lot of plastic, which makes since. If it were all metal, it would be extremely heavy. Anyway, I'd buy it again.

Not compatible with die-cast Disney Cars!

I purchased this item for my son with use of his die-cast Disney Cars. However, most of the die-cast ones were too big to make the turns on this track. So, even though it is listed to be compatible with die-cast cars, that doesn't necessarily mean the ones from Disney/Pixar! We ended up getting some of the "Mini-Adventures" plastic ones for my son to use on this track as well. That all being said, he loves racing on this track. It is just frustrating that it can not be used as we initially planned and were lead to believe.

Santa brought this for my 2 year old son for Christmas and it is the best toy. Why? Because you don't have to put it together, it is light weight, it is reasonably priced and my son can play with it for a long period of time and not get bored.

It comes with 2 small cars and we found that any typical sized Hot Wheels or Matchbox car fits on the track.

I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a fun gift.

Favorite toy 2 years running

My son received this for his 2nd birthday. He is now turning 4 this month and not a day goes by that this toy isn't used. I have brought this on overnights to Grandmas, away with us on vacation, etc and it provides hours of fun. Our library has this and my son even plays with it when we go there. He really can't get enough of it.

The starting platform at the top of the track is on a spring mechanism so that when you place the cars on the track you hear revving engine sounds. Then there is a lever that you press to tilt the platform, sending the cars racing down the track. This track is durable, with no small breakable pieces and is compatable with most matchbox and hotwheels sized cars. The batteries last FOREVER - seriously, in 2 years, I don't think I've ever replaced them.

Now that my son is a little older, he likes to pull out his matchbox cars and predict which will be the fastest in the race.

Definitely recommend this as a toy that is not only durable enough, but also entertaining enough to play with for several years.

My 2 yr old loves it

My son loves it but then again, he loves anything with cars. It only works with the 2 small cars that come with it and if they aren't put on the track exactly right, they get stuck on the way down. Pretty good for the price but the sound is annoying. Can't turn it off.

Noisy but fun

My 2 year old and 4 year old have been playing with it for about 8 months now. They have enjoyed it for quite some time. It's a bit noisy and I wish they had a switch that allowed the vocal part to be turned off but besides that the kids are very happy with it. Plus it works with about 50% of their hot wheels cars.
